April 2010 Meeting |

Regular
monthly meeting was held April 27. Plans for Farmers
Market discussed.
* Flyers were mailed to potential
vendors
* Other flyers being hand carried to
potential vendors
* Flyer for ticket sales on the
COLT AFGHAN new gazebo Fund Raiser distributed by end of
the month
* Discussed having market every Saturday
since produce is ready every week
* Park Advisory
Committee reported Boy Scouts painted trash barrels at
the parks
Duke Energy donated bathroom fixtures to
repair bathrooms at the parks
Students at Central
Elementary had a fundraiser - they collected money for
flowers
to be planted at Southside park. At last
report, over $600 had been collected
A Downtown
Hoedown is being planned for Bicknell on July 17 -
additional information
will be available as plans
progress
Plans are on going for the "Luau in the
Park" for June. Tentative plans are to hold it at the
old Hooper Field at Northside park. (That's the old
football field on hwy 67.)
Swimland is preparing
for the coming season. The call has gone out for
donations. Swimland is operated as a non-profit entity
and must rely on the goodness of the community,
organizations and grants for money to continue
operations. Monetary donations can be made by check,
cashier's check or money order made out to North Knox
Swimland, c/o Mindy Clinkenbeard, P.O. Box 14, Bicknell,
IN 47512
Anyone wishing to donate time to projects or
